Yesterday, a protester, Wenyi Wang, tried to shout down Chinese President Hu Jintao. The security officers rightfully removed her.
It is unforthunte if there were not more protesters there. Maybe there were, but the MSM would not tell us, of course. In our country, even the despicable have the right to exercise free speech. It was Hu's time to talk, not Ms. Wang's.
I certainly agree with Ms. Wang's view. Characteristically, Ms. Wang's disruption broadcast to American (at least on Fox News) was censored by the Chinese or much of the Far East media. Or, maybe they just did not think the one-person protest was that important. Regardless, there is no question that China has yet to join the civilized world when it comes to free speech.
However, it is hypocritical for the conservative blogosphere to decry liberals who shout down conservatives while applauding the attempt to shout down those with whom the conservatives disagree (even anti-free speech people). Free Speech should be universal.
