Obma's $328,835 Waste

The fly-over photo op that panicked New Yorkers cost the taxpayers $328,835. President Obama did not order the fly-over or, apparently, approve it in advance.

So how has the president reacted? He has ordered a "review." How much will that cost?

Fire whoever was responsible. Now. We don't need that kind of judgment spending taxpayer money. We don't need to waste more money on a review.

The Math of the First 100 Days

>Do the math:
WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama marks his hundredth day in office on Wednesday, but it's hardly the only digit that matters to the new administration.
Here are some highlights of Obama's first 100 days, by the numbers:

$3.6 trillion — Total spending in Obama's proposed federal budget for 2010.

$1.75 trillion — Total projected deficit in Obama's proposed federal budget for 2010.

$787 billion — Cost of tax cuts and new spending in economic stimulus package approved by Congress.

Credit Card Companies.

I am angry at the credit card companies.  Their collective greed is bringing an oppressive government down on them.  They have only themselves to blame.  How could they be so greedy?

While I blame the Obama administration for policies that unduly interfere with proviate enterprise, I also blame the credit card companies for their outrageous fees, hiking interest rates with little provocation and other abusive policies.  How could they be so blind as to think they could get away with it forever.

Incompetence abounds.   It still does not justify the Obama adminstration's socialistic jaw-boning.   But how could the credit card companies not see it coming?

GE Chairman Blows it at Shareholders' Meeting

Janeane Garofalo exemplifies the non-think reaction of the left to anything they don't like.  Criticize President Obama's policies and it is automatically racism.  Rational discourse becomes impossible.

Yes, her opinion is dumb, although fully in line with MSNBC's politics.  G.E. owns MSNBC.  MSNBC's political leaning leave it eating the dust of other cable news outlets, so the political cant is bad business.

Even dumber was the response of GE's chairman to a pointed question about MSNBC airing Ms. Garofalo's outrageous looney opinion.  (First Amendment Alert:  The First Amendment does not require news outlets to air goofy opinions, it merely permits the airing without prior restraint.)

Obama Worst President Ever?

Let's be candid. At 100 days, it is too early to tell. Certainly, he has hit the ground running in that direction. Consider the following:
  • The Horrors of the Porkulous Bill (it keeps getting worse as details leak out)
  • Eric Holder
  • Janet Napolitano
  • Bowing to a Muslim king
  • Appeasing Hugo Chavez
  • Generating massive protests over his excessive government spending
  • Tax Cheat overssing the IRS
  • Immediate campaign promise reversals on lobbyists in the government; public time to comment on legislation; transparency in government
  • ACORN

20 Years to Conservative

Kevin Roose, a liberal Ivy-Leaguer, transferred to Liberty University to write a book about how Christian school kids are different. From this account, it appears that Mr. Roose (who did write his book) is the one who will be transformed. But it takes time to lose an inbred ideology. I give him 20 years. Or another 9/11 (which converted many liberals to conservatism). Read about it here.

Janet the Incompetent

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said the following in an interview with Larry King this past weekend:
And yes, when we find illegal workers, yes, appropriate action, some of which is criminal, most of that is civil, because crossing the border is not a crime per se. It is civil.
In fact, 18 USCA sec. 1325 makes it a crime to cross the border illegally.

Bottom line: Janet Napolitano doesn't know the basics she needs to do her job. Astounding.

Another great cabinet appointment.

HAMAS in the News

In the past, I have said that Hamas is evil. So far, I have seen nothing to dissuade me of that opinion. See the Human Rights Watch video that discloses a new underbelly of evil.

Homegrown Jihad

There are over 30 Muslim encampments in the United States that engage in terrorist training and other criminal activities (drug trafficking, welfare fraud, harboring fugitives from justice). A new documentary investigates and explores the facts.

Concealed Carry

I have long said that the answer to gun-crazed killers on campus (e.g., the Virginia Tech massacre) was more guns -- in the hands of the normal people on campus. The Missouri legislature in a fit of lucidity has approved concealed carry on Missouri college campuses.

CAIR Busted

CAIR busted for selling jihadist and materials insulting to Christians.

What is heartening are the interviews with the ordinary Muslims who don't seem to understand the background of CAIR it leaders, and when explained would reject it. The two gentlemen in the beginning of the piece have their hearts in the right place, but CAIR is trying to lead them astray.

Tea Party

I attended the Tea Part in Columbus, along with about 6,000 (my estimate) of my closest friends.

Obviously President Obama's dismissive comments about the tea parties shows that he does not yet get the point. He thinks that it is just about taxpayers unhappy on tax filing day.

No, Mr. President.

It is about an uprising of citizens unhappy with your porkulous bill and other runaway government spending, threatening to mortgage future generations.

You know it is getting bad when there is talk of secession as we heard from Texas. Maybe talk that will begin to penetrate that thick political hides -- Democrat and Republican -- that run our country's excessive government.

Update: Who is the awful CNN reporter who insists on embarrassing herself and CNN with her behavior?

Further update: Her name is Susan Roesgen. What a clown! Another reason to avoid CNN.

It gets worse:
