Over half a century since we started voting for Democrat policies, blacks in America are worse off than before. Black Americans are more likely to get involved with drugs, go to prison, and die younger than our white counterparts. Over 70% of our children are born out of wedlock. Our abortion rate has never been higher. There are two explanations for these results. 1) Blacks are an inferior race and can’t take care of themselves. 2) Despite the best of intentions, the government has created and implemented “social justice” policies that promote perpetual dependence. I choose to believe the latter. Therefore, I have become a Republican.
Mr. Freeman, I’m not asking you to adopt my political views. You’re in your seventies, and a political shift is not in your future. I’m reaching out to you because I want you to think better of your fellow countrymen. Barack Obama is in the White House, and Herman Cain just won the Florida straw poll. America is the land of opportunity for black Americans like never before.
I’m hoping that you’ll come to a tea party in Tennessee — the place of your birth. Really anywhere in the country that works for you; I’ll set it up with the one of the thousands of activists I know around our great country. I’d be delighted to introduce you to good people who will welcome you with open arms, disagree with you, and then feed you some of the best barbeque you’ve ever tasted.

Ali Akbar Letter to Morgan Freemen
This is an excerpt from the letter by Ali Akbar, a black tea party activist to Morgan Freeman. It is a great letter, and I hope you will click the link to read it all.

Tea Parties on Immigration
To the extent that the tea partiers have any uniformity of views on immigration, I suspect that the video below captures 99.99% of Tea Party attitudes and accurately describes the major media untruths about the tea parties.:

Vote for Liberty in November
Hint: The socialist Democrats (a redundancy this year) do not promote liberty. The Republicans have not been great at promoting liberty either, but they are the best opportunity this year. We must pray and pressure the Republicans to promote and vote liberty after the election.

Racism and Antisemitism in NAACP Condemned
The Voice of Reason hereby condemns all racism and antisemitism in the ranks of the NAACP and urges the NAACP to take effective and public steps to rid itself of these bad elements..
The racism of the NAACP is well documented (example here) and need not be repeated further. The NAACP antisemitism is best exemplified by its embrace of Louis Farrakhan at one of its summits where Farrakhan jabbered nonsense about whitey and the Jews. Report here..
The hypocritical NAACP has released a report claiming that there is bigotry in the tea party movement. Guess what? There are conservative bigots, liberal bigots, progressive bigots, black bigots, white bigots, red bigots, yellow bigots and green bigots scattered throughout society, and can be found in any movement or large organization. The Democratic party for instance.
If the tea part is so bigoted, why is Herman Cain so popular among the tea partiers?
The NAACP has abandoned all pretense of credibility, in my opinion.

Republican Promise to Listen to Tea Parties; Democrats in Denial
This is an excellent ad.
We, the tea party people, are left wondering if this will be just another broken political promise.
The Democrats on the other hand, deny the legitimacy of the tea parties as the Democrats have done consistently over the last 18 months.
I say, take a chance with the party that recognizes the legitimacy of the tea party concerns.

Will Republicans Fail Us, Too?
As an apparent electoral tsunami approaches, the question for us voters is whether the Republicans will attack the problems of excessive government and excessive spending, or whether they will simply stick their snouts into the public trough as usual.
We are being told that the Republicans are nervous about the tea parties, even as the tea parties are predicted to help sweep the Republicans into office. The squishy RINO's should be nervous.
I hope the tea parties have traction. If the Republican vote for bigger government and more spending and fail to reduce both, they should be voted out. We need to keep voting out the big spenders until the politicians get the message.
It is really unhelpful and short sighted to vote for Republicans merely because they are not as bad as the Democrats. Republican strategists do not seem to get that concept.
It is not much of a campaign slogan, either: "Vote for us, we are not as bad as the Democrats."

Communist Party USA Event Praised by Obama's Organizing for America
In the unlikely event that any reader of THIS blog is surprised, the so-called One Nation event on Saturday in Washington is co-endorsed (partnered, they say) by the Communist Party USA. The event has been praised by Obama's Organizing for America. What a surprise! [heavy sarcasm.]
We should not be surprised that co-endorsers include all manner of labor unions, showing their true colors.AFL-CIO, American Federation of Teachers, Communication Workers of America, SEIU (of course), American Association of University Professors, American Federation of Government Employees, American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, and on and on.
Did I mention the COMMUNIST PARTY USA?
And they want to claim that the tea parties are extremists. The Communist Party USA?!!

Chris Redfern Spews Hate in Ohio
After the Ohio Democratic Party Chairman dropped the f-bomb to describe tea partiers there was a small media frenzy. Then the Ohio Democratic party sent out an email to its supporters refusing to apologize and spreading hate of the tea parties.
Christ Redfern is an unapologetic, foul-mouthed hater. He hates everything that the tea parties stand for: smaller government and less spending. Not only that, he hates the people who make up the tea parties. He deliberately incites hate of the people who support tea parties in his speech and in his email.
Any Democrat that follows Chris Redfrern's lead deserves to lose in November. This guy is about hating people who disagree with him, pure and simple.

Breitbart Exposes Astroturf Sham Protest
What is the difference between a tea party grass roots rally and an astroturf rally? The people holding the signs know what there signs mean.
There is plenty of humor here as well as Orwellian anti-hate rhetoric.
One of the funniest thing is an astroturfer calling Andrew Breitbart gay. Hmm. liberals calling someone gay is intended as an insult (and ultimately apologized for). If it is an insult to be called gay, if liberals think it is an insult to call someone gay, what does that say about liberals?
If everyone understands that calling someone gay is an insult, what does that say about the efforts to mainstream homosexuality?
More on the astroturf effort here.

O'Donnell Tsunami
Wow. The Christine O'Donnell victory in the Delaware Republican primary for the United States Senate seat is having major fall out. It is also creating myths about the tea party and what the tea parties mean.
As for the fall out, Karl Rove's anti-O'Donnell excesses on the Sean Hannity show have caused his stock to drop precipitously. The tea party analyses are everywhere.
Let me add my small contribution.
The tea party is not an organization, it is a movement. It has brought together diverse folk who disagree on some things. Some these folks are truly on the fringe. The tea party folk uniformly see too much government and too much government spending as THE core issue of today. The lovers of big government are trying to divide the tea party based upon the differences on the fringe. They do not get it. Other differences don't matter. Until the excessive government and excessive spending problems appear to be under control, the other differences will not divide the tea partiers.
The tea parties will fall apart if government begins to shrink and spending begins to shrink. That is when they will turn their attentions to their various and diverse issues: abortion, firearms freedom and the like. Until then, the tea parties are united on the core issues and those issue are in the forefront. Until government and spending are reduced, the non-core issues will not tear the tea parties asunder.
The tea parties will be consistently anti-Obama only so long as Obama is the symbol of big government and big spending. If President Obama were to undergo a complete about-face, supporting Obamacare repeal, reducing government programs and reducing government spending, he would enjoy tea party support. Not gonna happen, though. He can't change that much.

This is cool. It is from a tea party rally. It is actually verse 4 (full lyrics here):
The speaker is Herman Cain. The singer is unidentified.

Moron of the Day: Andre Carson (D-IN)
Himself making false slurs about tea partiers supposedly making racial comments, Rep. Andre Carson called the tea parties "one of the largest threats to our internal security."
Really?

Does any sane person consider these ladies as a threat to internal security?
Maybe Rep Carson misssed David Letterman's interview which I blogged about here.
Do't believe me. Rep. Carson's accusation of tea parties being a national intelligence threat is recored here:
Do you know what the real threat to internal security is? Morons like Carson getting elected to Congress.

Moron of the Day: Michael Bloomberg
He has many times been a finalist for his foolish and illegal anti-gun activities, but New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg finally wins the award for his speculation on the New York car bomber last weekend: "If I had to guess -- 25 cents -- this would be exactly that, somebody ... home-grown, maybe a mentally deranged person or somebody with a political agenda that doesn't like the health care bill or something."
Bloomberg is thinking tea partier, no doubt. Their rallies have been so violent!
Instead, the "suspect" was Pakistan-born, naturalized American citizen, a follower of the Religion of Peace.
What? A Muslim? Really? Who saw that coming?

What the Tea Party Really Is -- Updated
Take that Rachel Maddow and the other loonies who call Tea Parties "racist."
Update: The reporter, Kelly O'Donnell, has taken some heat for even asking the question. I agree with her that the question was appropriate. It was appropriate not because there was ever truth to the accusation of racism at the tea parties. The question was appropriate, because the false accusation has been so pervasive.
I thank reporter O'Donnell for asking the question. I thank NBC for broadcasting the answer.
Contrast: Tea Party v. SEIU
In Columbus, two different demonstrations.
At least it was not actually violent. They sat down in the street to impede traffic. They had worked out with the police in advance that they would get arrested and not resist.
Unlike the SEIU, the Tea Party protesters did NOTHING illegal.
There was the Tea Party that the goofy media claims is potentially violent. Reported violent incidents or arrests yesterday? Zero.
There there was the lefty SEIU demonstration. 25 Arrests for disorderly conduct.

Tax Day
I'm too busy to post.
Tax day simply makes me angrier and angrier at the federal government.
Go to your local tea party today -- if you have your taxes done, and maybe your extension.

Tea Party Movement Explained -- On Letterman
Much left wing ink (electrons, really) has been exhausted in vilifying the tea party movement. Yet, recent polls are showing a large percentage of tea partiers are Democrats. Analysis continues on this recent phenomenon, examples here and here. I was at the last year's tea party really in Columbus and I plan to go to the next. I must be one of those crazies.
A real understanding of the tea parties comes from as unlikely a source as a David Letterman interview with Pam Stout below.
I am proud to have this lady, Pam Stout, as the voice of the tea party movement.
C'mon, Janeane Garofalo . Call Pam Stout a racist or other nasty names in public. I dare you.
