Canadian Gestapo Arrest Man After Daughter Draws Picture Showing Dad with a Gun

In America it would be an unbelievable story. A little girl draws a picture of her dad with the gun showing him killing bad guys and monsters. The teacher takes it to the principal and Dad gets arrested for possession of a firearm. The police search his house, a warrantless search, and turn up nothing but a toy airgun. In the meantime, the data strip-searched and the children interrogated by goons from Family and Children's Services, who report the children were scared.  Scared?  No wonder given the actions of government officials.

There was no gun found, as if that would be a big deal (apparently it is in Canada).

Mass. Town Makes Case Against Government Schools

This is unbelieveable. In Provincetown, Massachusetts, school officials are giving away condoms to elementary schools students, no parental permission required. No only is no parental permission required, parents cannot prevent the school from giving out condoms to their children.

PROVINCETOWN, Mass. -- Elementary school students in Provincetown would be given condoms – whether their parents approve or not – under a policy approved by the town’s school committee last week.

First grade students can ask for the condoms, though the policy requires that students speak to a school nurse or other trained counselor before receiving one.

The board voted unanimously to approve the policy, which states that the school district will not honor requests from parents that their children not be given condoms.

The Anti-Education President

Reason TV has identified President Obama as the anti-Eduction president, or maybe more accurately, the education union president (not president of the union, of course). See the entire article here. I want to highlight one point.

Money. The history of education advocacy has been all about money. The argument has been that the government education establishment needs more money to succeed. They pretend that the children need more money.

Adjusted for inflation, per pupil spending has doubled since the 1970's. Despite the doubling, DOUBLING, of funding, schools are not any better. They are worse.

Parents want choices. They want charter schools. They want voucher systems. President Obama's record? He aided Senator Durbin kill the DC voucher system.

It is too bad that the Constitution does not have a popular vote recall for the office of President. President Obama would be gone.

Of course the National Education Association and the American Federation of Teachers have joined with the Communist Party USA on Saturday for a rally in Washington. Those unions are not about educating children to be the best they can be. They are about indoctrinating children to be good ... communists?

On Saturday, I'm ignoring them and watching the Ohio State football game.
